February is adopt a rescued rabbit month. Rabbits are near and dear to our heart. My daughter got a rabbit for 4H, and she loves it. They are not a high maintenance pet, and are so cute and fun to watch. If you are considering a pet for your child, a rabbit could fit your needs.
You can visit this link, to view rabbits that are being offered for rescue and adoption. If you want to have a fun way to teach your kids about rabbits you can purchase these
cute rabbit puppets from my Barefoot Books Store.
Until March 31st, 10% of my commissions from my Barefoot Books store, will be donated to The Hunger Site. Help me help hunger.

I love the idea of adopting a pet instead of purchasing one from a pet store.
We did purchase our rabbit from a breeder because 4H had very strict restrictions and we were new at it. If she wants another though we will adopt from a rescue. All our dogs have been shelter dogs or dogs that would end up at a shelter if not adopted by us.
