While this sounds like a no brainer, I don't think we realize how much of our daily caloric intake comes from what we drank, namely soda and juice drinks. One can of regular soda can have up to 150 calories, and a bottle over 300 calories. If you enjoy those energy drinks, they can have anywhere from 200 and up of calories. Milk, juice, sweet tea and other drinks all have at least 75 calories per 8 ounce serving. Learn to drink calorie free, or low calorie drinks to help decrease your calorie intake., such as water, flavored water with 5 or less calories, and Crystal Light are all great options. Diet soda can be OK, but you are still getting high amounts of sodium which we will discuss another week. Plus sodas containing phosphoric acid actually deplete your bones of the calcium they need, which can increase your chances of getting Osteoporosis. You will thank yourself when you see the weight starting to come off almost effortlessly. It is worth it to change your drinking habits. I didn't even mention beer and other alcoholic beverages.

I just started yesterday getting back into exercising and kicking the soda pop habit, and will try to avoid sugar all the way around as it seems to make you just want to have more of it. Far better to just drink good old water anyway.
Good luck. Sounds like you are on the right track.
