Website Designer Wanted

Small World News is seeking a website designer to design our new online presence. We are an international organization providing tools and technology to journalists and citizens around the world to tell stories about their lives and their communities, through everyday engagement, elections, and crises. We’re looking for a designer who can help us envision and create a design that captures the work we do around the world while employing current design trends and standards. You’ll work with key members of our core team to present wireframes, initial comps, and final designs. We are launching the site on the WordPress platform, so the design should take into account the functionality and limitations of the CMS as they translate to the public theme.

Expectations for this project are someone with proven experience in web design and an online portfolio we may review. While we are only seeking a designer for this project, you may also include additional information about the schedule and costs to develop your design into a working WordPress theme as well.

Requirements

* Have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Fireworks
* Knowledge of WordPress administration, understanding the elements of that system and how to integrate the design into a working theme
* An ability to produce appropriate sketches, wireframes, navigation models
* Fluency with evolving web standards and technologies, usability best practices and an interest in emerging interactive design trends
* An excellent visual design aesthetic that incorporates typography, color and other aspects of visual design
* collaborate well with others while having the ability to work independently
* Are detail orientated and strive to achieve the highest levels of quality in the work you produce.

Additional skills/background that are a plus:

* Formal Design Education
* CSS/HTML experience/knowledge
* Previous work with non-profit organizations
* Experience with usability testing
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

I actually have a partial profile at Odesk. I know other people who use it, make money, and love it. The profile process is long, and you need to make it as complete as possible to compete with other members on the site. This site has always been a paying site. They pay once a month via check. I was with this company for two years, before I found other things to work on. Payout is at least ten dollars. It is a paid to click site, but one that actually pays. There are not many paid to click sites that are honest paying sites. It is easy, and you can even buy affordable advertising for your sites if you choose to.

This website is an easy and fun way to make a little extra cash each month. I have been with them for a couple of years, and it is basically a get paid forum. You post topics, or answer other peoples topics. I believe it is one cent per response. Payout is 10 dollars, they pay monthly with Paypal. You do not have to be in the US to work there, and like I said it is fun. I don't have enough time to spend there that I would like to, but I try to do it daily. Oh I forgot to say they have added a task, and search option to make more money but I have never tried them.

Make Money Writing Articles With Textbroker

I personally do work for this site. You will get paid to write articles, on topics of your choice, for a predetermined amount of money. You do have to write an article, on the topic of your choice, to get rated and be accepted. All writers are ranked and that determines the articles you can choose from. You always have an opportunity to increase your rank, and get the higher paid articles. Every article you write will be ranked by a Textbroker manager. They pay twice a month, with Paypal, and I have been paid several times. You must have at least a ten dollar balance to request payout. You can write as many articles as you like. I do not write everyday for them, but I do try to do it every few days. There is a time limit, and keyword musts for each article, so be sure to read all the directions before excepting an article. I believe it is after three or five articles that you write, you will be prompted by Textbroker to provide them with tax information. You will not be able to write any more articles until you have supplied the info. I mailed mine to them, and it was very fast, and easy. I found out about this website a few months ago. While I have not made enough money to say it could support me, I have made enough to buy books, and other items from Amazon.com that I needed or wanted. It is fairly easy, and you have to simply complete the task as assigned. If you have enough time, I am sure you could make some real decent money. If you would like a fun survey site, as opposed to the boring ones I have tried in the past, then you need to get over to Toluna. Toluna is not just a survey site, but a social network as well. You earn points for taking sponsored surveys, plus points from starting polls, starting opinion topics, responding to others polls, and responding to others opinion topics. Once you have made 60,000 points you can convert them to 20 dollars and request a check. They do accept Paypal as well, but it seems they are paying with checks right now. This would not be something that would be full time, but a fun way to make a little extra cash. The members do get paid in a timely fashion, so it is a legitimate site.

Work From Home As A Notary

Did you know you can work from home as a notary? Yes you can. You can have people come to your home to have paperwork notarized, or you can go to them. The link will take you to becoming a Florida notary, but just click for the state you live in. You do have to take and pass an exam, to be certified. Before the exam you will take a short course. I actually applied with this company some time ago, and I have to tell you if you attempt to work for them use the study materials they send you, and study. I can not stress that enough. There is a lot of information, and they only give you one chance. There are different positions at different times. I applied for internet search researcher.
